Eastpak x Telfar release their latest collection
The iconic Telfar shopper and circle bag are back in an array of fresh colourways
Since 2022 Telfar Clemens eponymous brand has been dropping sought after collaborations with Eastpak. Founded in 2005, the brand's Liberian born turned Queen's native has shaken up the industry, challenging conceptions of what it means to be a "luxury" brand. Telfar have always been forthright about being a Black owned brand and serving the community they create for. A commitment that has resonated with Eastpak throughout past collaborations. Last year Telfar experimented with a concept where prices were set by demand, which would then become the "forever price" of the item going forward. It functioned by listing items at wholesale price on their live site, as time passed, prices would go up in small increments. Crucially, this meant that the more users bought an item - the cheaper it would be. The result? The most popular sought after items would be the cheapest. Scarcity, inaccessibility and exclusion are foundational to a fashion industry ever more reliant on hype to move product. So Telfar's subversive approach makes their Eastpak collab a natural fit. This strong brand ethos has been matched by the versatility and wearability that defines Eastpak, with the collaborative models designed to be worn in different ways. Style and pragmatism married perfectly.
